The Great War.

Interesting job this, the brief was to capture a high resolution image of this memorial in Haddington road church. Challenging job due to the lighting and situation of the memorial, but later we noticed the date inscription: 1914-1919 even though the conflict ended officially on 11 November 1918. We supposed that perhaps some of the unfortunate victims above may have passed later due to injuries received but are not sure as no dates of death appear for the casualties.

It is also unique in that this is the only known memorial of its kind erected in a catholic church in Ireland.

Eucharistic Congress 1932

We have had a lot of enquiries about this image so here it is!

Panoramic image taken of the Eucharistic Procession by boat up the Liffey to the Phoenix Park where over 1 million pilgrims awaited its arrival. The image is remarkable for its level of detail and we can supply framed copies to 5 feet in size. A truly unique perspective of a moment in time of our history.

This commercial job from a collector came in during the week, pretty impressive detail, can you imagine the time it takes to finish one of these creations? everyone is started from an actual egg! Bit nervous handling them but all went well, samples shown by kind permission of the owner.
